An extremely well-crafted, highly controversial film of great importance.

Mantis is a very controversial film, that is filled with the passion and truth that much of society lacks concerning spousal abuse. Your compassion for the characters makes you question taboos and stereotypes found in society. This is a powerful film that has controversial undertones. I loved this movie and I was lucky to get to see it. There haven't been too many screenings, but if you do go get a chance to attend short film festivals, MANTIS is the film to look for. This is a must-see film if you are at all interested in movies that make you think "Wow, I can't believe that actually happens". This is one of those really important films dealing with an issue that people sometimes find hard to stomach, but honestly, I think that it's about time that someone actually went out on a limb and tackled this subject.
