The game itself was a very bad game. The refs gave Pittsburgh the game. I'am not a Steelers fan and I never will be in my life. I think by the solution of this game, Pittsburgh will not make a Super Bowl in 100 years. I always liked the Super Bowl but not when the Steelers are in it. Hopefully the Super Bowl refs get fired for what they have done to cost the Seahawks the entire game. The refs made the Super Bowl not as good when they are making all of those stupid and nonsense calls on the football field. Hopefully Super Bowl XLI will be a much better calling game and not as many bad calls during the game. Well like I said, Pittsburgh isn't really a good football team to play and to win a Super Bowl. We all have to wait for next year and see what next year gives us.
"Super Bowl XL" wasn't the best played title game or for that matter game played in the world yet it was interesting and compelling just like any football game. It featured the AFC champion Pittsburgh Steelers against the NFC champion Seattle Seahawks in a game that had two teams that played rugged defense and both had powerful running backs and each had strong armed QB's. The game started out with not much 1st quarter yardage as Seattle killed their own drives by dropped passes, and when Pittsburgh had the ball they would take advantage with the quick and huge offensive line and power running game that moved the ball at will. Despite an off game from Steelers QB Big Ben the gadget and trick plays would prove right for Pittsburgh and it would surprise and keep the Seahawks defense off balance. WR Hines Ward would shine as game MVP with five catches for 123 receiving yards. The final was Steelers 21 and Seahawks 10. It was great to see one of the NFL's hardest working coaches finally hoist a Super Bowl trophy in Bill Cowher way to go Bill!
Despite other opinions that were made about the game Steelers deserve to win. Anyone who knows the game or played the game, know that in order to score a touchdown the entire ball has to do is cross the goal line. When Big Ben was in the air the ball was on the goal line and even though he was pushed back. In football, they call that forward progress and that's why the play wasn't over turned. Even if the refs miss a call or two, one call doesn't determine the out come of a football game. The Seattle Seahawks had just as many opportunities to win the game as Pittsburgh. The difference was that the Steelers were able to execute and the Seahawks didn't. You can also add to the fact that Detroit is only 300 miles from Pittsburgh and Seattle is 3000 miles, which made this somewhat a home game for Pittsburgh. The bottom line is that the Refs didn't loose this game for Seattle, the Seahawks loss this game by themselves and they have no one to blame but themselves.
