    What were they thinking?

I can't imagine what would have possessed Carrie Fisher to be in this movie. Maybe she had a big house payment looming...I can't say. But I can't think of one good reason to watch this movie, so don't ask me why I did.

It opens with Melissa (Laura Prepon from That 70's Show) waking up next to Carlos (Matt Cedeño) the day before her wedding. There's just one problem...Carlos isn't Melissa's intended groom. She's hung over and doesn't remember anything from the previous evening, not even marrying a total stranger.

What follows is your typical meant-for-each-other-but-they-don't-know-it comedy of errors that won't provide any surprises. The few laughs (and I'm talking 1 or 2) come from Carrie Fisher as Melissa's headstrong mother. The only good thing I can say is Matt Cedeño is quite easy on the eyes, and the scenery is breathtaking. So unless you're a bride-to-be scouting locations for your honeymoon like the previous reviewer (I mean really...ever heard of a vacation planner?) you should avoid this movie.

Soap Hunk and sitcom star plus Princess Leia=fun!

Romancing the Bride stars Laura Prepon of "That '70s Show" as a young woman who chooses a Mexican resort hotel as the place to get married. She wakes up the morning of her wedding day in bed with a stranger and a hangover. He's a Mexican hottie, played by former Days Of Our Lives star Matt Cedeno, who is glad to be hitched to her. She takes off on a wild march to find out how it happened and to undo it before her fiancé, not to mention her controlling mom (played brilliantly by Carrie Fisher), learn about it. It's an amusing little adventure, if not a great movie, and a chick flick that should appeal to the channel's female audience. It isn't trying to change the world or make a point, just an entertaining little made for TV movie. The film does seem uneven at times in the editing but the strong cast makes it work. In addition, Matt and Laura have a lot of chemistry together.

Pretty awful but Carrie Fisher has some great lines

It's unoriginal, badly written, and downright racist at times, but Carrie Fisher made me laugh out loud several times ("They're your bitches" is my favorite, but you have to watch the movie for the set-up). Almost all of the Mexican characters were the usual stock stereotypes, from the corrupt, bumbling cops to mama and the big family throwing a fiesta. But that said, the scenery and the lead actors were pretty to look at. Pleasant enough to watch if there's nothing else on and you're willing to let your brain turn to mush. If you liked that dreadful Matthew Perry/Salma Hayek movie from about 10 years ago, then you'll probably be able to sit through this one.

    Great Entertainment

Had no idea how I was going to like this film, but as soon as I starting watching a bride losing her memory and winding up in bed with another guy, I was glued to the TV. Matt Cederio, (Carlos), gave an outstanding performance as one of Jennifer Drohan,(Claire) lovers and handcuffed to him after a so called one night stand. There is plenty of drama and comedy and Carrie Fisher, (Edwina) gave a great supporting role with all kinds of sexy language to go along with her lines. This is truly a very entertaining film and had me laughing through out the entire film. Matt Cederio certainly is a very handsome guy and if the gals like a real HUNK this is the GUY.

    Good enough for theaters!

When on a whim I thought I'd look up the trivia for this movie on IMDb and I saw that it had a standing rating of a measly 6 stars my heart sunk.

This movie was incredible! It was filled with perhaps the most memorable one-liners, the funniest "villians", and the most unbelievable break downs imaginable. Not to mention one of the hunkiest pieces of man meat I have ever had the pleasure of watching for an hour and some odd minutes jump through cinema hoops.

This movie had me laughing, crying, and kept me guessing through the entire thing. Sit down with your significant other, your sister, your brother, your mother, your father, your best friend, your puppy, kitty, or stuffed animal named Paul, I don't know...just WATCH IT.
