Good show with a sad under theme

While I still think this show appeals to the non urban viewer, OK red neck, there I said it, I have to say I have noticed one sad fact that comes up in almost every episode. If you watch, you'll see that 9 out of 10 truck drivers that they help by fixing up there truck have medical bills, or family members with medical bills out the @$$. These are hard working men trying to put food on the table for there families. It just goes to show you that health care in America is a very big problem. I really enjoy this show because it shows hard working people getting what there deserve. It's a nice break from watching undeserving whores like Paris and Nicole on TV. But back to my point, if you can't see we need a better way to get working men and women affordable health care in the richest nation on earth, you need to wake up. I just think a workingman should be able to feed and provide security for his family.

A thoroughly outstanding program - for everyone

Let me add a third comment for this show. The other two obviously represent one ("Ironhead 1975") who is in the trucking profession, and "nettkellar," who is certainly also more within the demographics for this show than I am.

I'm a city person, and while I enjoy driving a nice car as much as anyone, have never even done an oil change, and am not "mechanical," in the least. I'm not a big country music fan, so I just stumbled on this show a while back, since I don't dial the CMT channel very often.

But I love "Trick My Truck," and everything about it. And having lived in Springfield, MO previously, and in Tulsa now, I am very familiar with the Joplin area where these guys are based (Joplin is on the same interstate as both Tulsa and Springfield, and between these two cities).

It represents an old-fashioned, family-oriented, feel-good type of entertainment. I'm not a prude, and enjoy movies which are sometimes R-rated - but there is too little of this type of programming today. The guys who "trick" the trucks are a down-to-earth, completely likable group - and most of the stories which surround the equipment they refurbish are truly heartfelt.

Everything about this program, its "stories" and its principals, is as positive, pleasant, enjoyable and entertaining as one could wish.

    -----------------------------

It has been three months since I made the above comment. I notice another gentleman, obviously in the trucking profession, has added a 4th, complimentary comment as well. This program airs frequently, at different times, and for a while there seemed to be mostly repeats -- although watching one of these programs a 2nd or 3rd time is better than most others just once. Now that several new ones have been shown, I would say the program remains just a fine as I indicated above -- perhaps even getting better. Remains one of the finest pieces of programming on any channel.

    I love it!

I don't watch CMT much and don't know jack about cars / trucks but I love this show! I tried to watch American chopper but the cussing, fighting, drama, throwing parts around, etc got old.

The guys on this show are all top notch professionals in their field. They let each other do the work they do best, and they treat their customers and each other with total respect. They don't waste time arguing, and they get right to the point with what they're going to do. The show follows a good steady format all the time too.

The thing I love the most is the fact they do work for the people who deserve and need it most: Maybe a trucker faced with health issues, or doesn't have the money to fix it. I think a lot of people think truckers have it easy but they work hard, and should be proud of their equipment. The chrome shop mafia gives their jobs, trucks, and the drivers themselves the respect they deserve. This is a great show and I watch it every chance I get!

    What a great show!

With so many television shows becoming ho-hum boringly commonplace with nothing new to offer these days, it is refreshing to find a show that rewards the viewer with great entertainment, sometimes uproarious humor, and amazing results. The talented men who perform the miracles on the old trucks are true artists, and many times the results of their hard labors can take your breath away. Three cheers for this wonderful show, and may it live long and prosper! I, for one, will continue to watch this show, even though sometimes I must stay up until the wee hours of the morning to do so. I especially want to congratulate the cast and crew for their professionalism, their focus on an ultimately rewarding end result, and hitting the nail on the head with their "Theme" names on the trucks. The "Legacy" truck was and is my favorite. From what it was to what it became was nothing short of miraculous. Keep up the good work fellas. You are all great!

    Great Thing Ya'll Are Doing

I love your show and the way the Chrome Shop Mafia helps to give a new life to all those trucks and the help they give to the deserving people. Ya'll seem to have a crew of miracle workers on hand with hearts the size of Texas. Each of them deserves great praise for every ounce of work they put in to the work they do. They have done some very impressive overhauls. The sponsors of this show must get some of the praise as well, without them I'm sure it would be hard to make it possible. My hat is off to them as well. You've started a wonderful thing, now let me know when you get a show to overhaul pick up trucks and horse trailers, I wanna sign up for that one.
