    Sincere

This movie is a sincere Christian apology, but I couldn't identify much of a plot. ***SPOILER*** It would have been OK in Church, but not as paid entertainment. We never see UFOs, and few in the work-a-day world talk like these people. I can't imagine the actors not being devout Christians. Rebecca St. James is OK and the cast is serviceable, as are most of the characters. Significantly, the "UFO" demons happen at night, or induce night-like conditions. The idea of Hell is said by some to have originated with the contrast of day and night; night belonging to the Devil and chased by the Good Sun (Son). Consider also a probable root of Christianity reaching back into the obscure mists of child sacrifice. The "Unidentified" actors don't seem to have entertained such thoughts.

Not at all what I expected...

This movie should have come with a disclaimer that it was akin to the Left Behind series. I did not know it would be a Bible-thumping movie. I expected it to truly be a movie about UFOs and alien abduction for entertainment's sake. As previous reviewer comments, it would be fine to show at a church, but not at a public theater, at least not without the consumer's prior knowledge of what the premise of the movie is about. I felt deceived out of my $$ spent for this movie, as nothing in the summary refers to its religious overtones. If you go to church, it'll probably be shown there for free some time. Other than the cover-up of its true subject matter, the movie was fine as far as acting and script were concerned. But I have to say I walked out an hour into the movie when I saw what direction it was headed and that I was not going to be entertained, but preached to.

    Propaganda film

This movie was terrible. It is not something that people should have to pay to see. It looks like some Christian group made it to convert people. I don't understand why it was released to theaters and not to TV.

It started out like an old fashioned B movie sci-fi film from the 50s, but quickly changed. About 30 minutes into the movie the characters start talking about "God" and "Do you believe in Jesus?" It quickly moves into pure religion territory.

I thought I was going to a Sci-Fi movie. The film has poor acting; bad camera angles and is amateurish.

    AVOID IT!

    What a terrible pitiful film!

What a terrible film! After seeing this so called 'film', I cannot help but sadly reflect about Giordano Bruno. Bruno lived from 1548 to 1600 AD. A Italian Dominican friar. philosopher, mathematician, and astronomer. His cosmological theories went far beyond the Copernican model: he proposed the Sun was essentially a star, and that the universe contained an infinite number of inhabited worlds populated by other intelligent beings.

The Roman Inquisition found him guilty of heresy, and he was executed horribly by being burned at the stake. After his death he gained considerable fame, particularly among 19th- and early 20th-century commentators who, focusing on his astronomical beliefs, regarded him as a martyr for free thought and modern scientific ideas.

How can such arrogance and stupidity and fear....this film demonstrates still exist after all this time of scientific discovery? The incredibly narrow suffocating views the makers of this film continues to deny the possibility that there just could be, dare I write, the chance of life beyond off our own planet? Anything not understood by them then must be the work of a devil? These 'Christian dinosaurs' who made this 'film' seem to be still around. Their views besides being so arrogantly religious, are also so completely 'Earth Centered' too.

Not only do these film makers frighteningly display a new twisted form of xenophobia about free thought, the film even illustrates in scenes (by characters in the film playing reporters – a free press? ) critical about what sort of books one should be reading in the film's script! And what if God is also the same God on other worlds too? The utter arrogance that we are the only planet with life, created just for the pleasure (and abuse) by mankind?

What a twisted pitiful film. These ultra right Christian film makers and their flocks show after all this time and knowledge gained long since - the blood of Giordanos Brunos is still on their hands. I am renouncing my 'Christianity' (the Jesus Machine ultra right version a Jesus would scarcely recognize) after seeing this film, but never my faith in God.

The equally frightening 'Triumph of the Will' by Leni Riefenstahl in comparison at least showed some artistic competence.

    This isn't a movie at all...merely a religious advertisement

I just happened to stumble to this film and checked IMDb for more information: Score 6,7, well... not so bad. Genre: scifi...good I like scifi. So I got the movie and I was looking forward to have a relaxing Sunday evening watching it. But but...NO.

As in summary, this isn't a movie at all. It is a religious advertisement, including: preatching about Jesus, god, devil, end of the world etc. Movie starts with a epic abduction story: Driving at night, car stops, bright light and so on... Well, actually that was the film. Last of this ..ummm... frankly I don't know what to call it...was dialogue about end of the world and last judgement. Quite a same stuff what these TV-preachers tell you, but they are "good" at it.

Honestly, if you wan't to see a scifi movie or something with UFOs, please stay far away from this "thing". It has nothing to do with them. If you want to hear some cuckoo head's opinion what the bible has to say and what you should do. Then go ahead and watch this "thing", but I still prefer going to the church at Sunday.

This is complete bull. (and evangelical Christian propaganda, as another users said= Well... I should have red another users comments before I got the movie.

(27% of voters have rated this "thing" as 10. Yeah, right. Please, go somewhere else to do your propaganda)
