Enjoyed the game-play, graphics were so-so

First off, I am not that big a fan of 2-D games. I guess I might just be spoiled by growing up in a generation that had Goldeneye and Shadows of the Empire as its greatest console games, but I will give the makers of this game some credit, they did well with what they had. The story line is good, and I enjoyed the mana system. Small hint: check the barrels before absorbing them, sometimes there are goodies. The actual movement in cities felt restricted, but that could be because I couldn't alter the camera angles. I really liked the tutorials, they weren't that helpful, but I always enjoy when the game acknowledges that it is gonna be breaking the fourth wall. Well worth the money. Go out and get a used copy and you will be glad you did.

    Great Game

When I first bought this game at GameStop,I wanted to try out this game, and see what I thought about it. And what I loved about this game is the animation, and the music. My favorite characters in this game are:Delsus,Arlin,Klein, and Veola, the Magic Shop Owner, and of course the Mana Spirits that follow Klein, and aid him on his journey.I also think the battle scene have good graphics, and the characters have amazing attacks, and spells. The game also features the voices of:Wendee Lee,Crispin Freeman,Mary Elizabeth McGlynn,Steven Jay Blum,Melissa Charles,Derek Stephen Prince,Sandy Fox,Beau Billingslea,Barbara Goodson,Kim Mai Guest,Melora Harte,Allison Keith,Lex Lang,Bob Papenbrook,Jamieson Price,Brianne Siddall,Brian Silva ,Kirk Thornton ,Paula Tiso ,Dave Wittenberg And I also want to dedicate this game in memory of Bob Papenbrook, who was a great man to do this game. So in closing,if you are looking for a good game, then this is the one to get.And also, after this game, play the next one.

    Solid Game

You can't go wrong with this game. It has adorable graphics that remind me of FF Tactics and silly dialog that makes me laugh. You can upgrade some of your weapons and armor as well as create items to hurl at your enemies or help your own team. One of the highlights in this game is that I can craft things - I love that. It brings me great joy just making items. You can unlock unnecessary but cute things, such as character bios and pictures, as well as all the music from the game.

The guy who does the voice for Alucard in Hellsing does the voice for the womanizing character of Delsus (and its quite a sexy voice to boot).

The game play is straight forward and easy to do. Its combat system is a standard turn based one according to the highest speed factor. Unlike most rpg's now, you don't need to buy a book or search the internet looking for a way through a dungeon or that certain way to kill the big bad guy at the end of every mission. All you have to do is play smart, keep Klein's mana reserves filled and make sure the Mana's that travel with you are healthy.

To sum up - I give this game a 10 - even with the dialog being what it is. The replay factor alone makes up for the stupid lines and "psycho-bitchness" of Lita. After all, it IS a Japanese game. The character's mostly follow the Japanese RPG formula.

Great Game! It most certainly gets my teen-girl stamp of approval!
