Acting on a level of Doctor Who, but its a kids program

IMDB has scant info on this old series but a tremendously high rating so when I found it on YouTube, I just had to try it. Was struck at the amateurish level of (over) acting, till I realized it was a kids program, and one that - apparently - was from the perspective of a librarian.

May be interesting to some kids, but I discourage adults from looking it up unless they know what they're getting into.
