Balidaan

After Manoj Kumar movie Sahira was shelved, director Ravi Tandon was jobless. He heard that the T.V.series Maya was being shot in India and he could get work as a assistant. A few weeks later, one night Ravi was standing at a paan shop. Manoj Kumar was driving by and stopped his car. He called Ravi over and told him a producer named Aroon Verma was starting a film titled Balidaan. He asked Manoj to recommend a good upcoming director. Manoj told him Ravi Tandon was good. Manoj was happy with his work in Sahira. Manoj told Ravi to sign the film as it would bring him back into the industry. This was in 1967.
