The screening of this film for filmmaker Shakti Samanta almost derailed the making of "Aradhana" (1969). On producer Surinder Kapoor's invitation, Samanta watched the film a day before he was to start work on "Aradhana" (1969). He was shocked to find out that the two films, both written by Sachin Bhowmick, had the same climax. Samanta was thinking of shelving the film but a chance meeting with writer Gulshan Nanda helped revive "Aradhana" (1969) with a modified second half.
