    Review:The Eye 10(2005)

Having really loved the first two films I was really looking forward to the third part. I knew going in that the Pang Brother's were going to have something different for me with this one. I knew that the brothers wanted to make each episode in the Eye films to be completely different but still stay true to the heart of the films and I very much welcomed that. The Eye was more of a classic ghost story, The Eye 2 was more of a drama and The Eye 10 I knew was going to be more of a teen movie. Sounded good to me. So what did I think of the film. I loved it a lot...it wasn't as bad as everyone said it was, in fact it was everything I hoped it would be...but was it better than the first 2? Short answer no with a but. This film doesn't try to be like the first two, it's is own film just like the second was to the first. It has it's own story to tell in it's own way and does a great job of staying on it's own. When a lot of people talked about this film they said it was wanna be Scream and tried to be all funny and stuff and truth is...it's nothing like Scream. I consider this film more like a throw back to classic 80's horror stuff like Night of the Demons or even Sleepaway Camp 2...meaning it's suppose to be fun then a straight forward horror movie. That's what I liked best of the film, I loved it's modern feel...a lot of ghost movies are always told in that classic kind of way you know and it was just great seeing it done with that 80's feel but still feeling modern. I liked the new take, I loved the faster pace, I loved the directing and I loved how the film still keep a lot of it's religious sub plots. I loved the new takes on how to see ghost and I loved what happened due to that. The movie still had a lot of scares and never once did it let up. I also loved some of the humor thrown into the film that just had a smile on my face. I just loved the whole feel and vibe to the film.Once again the Pang Brothers are masters behind the camera and the kick ass shot. They handle the acting and the scares very well. While this film isn't perfect, I liked the 3 rd act but just wished they would have done it differently and I could have really done without the fart joke...this film is a real great watch and just plain fun. I'm sure some fans of the first film aren't going to buy into this one much but if you watch it as it's own film...it's a real treat. In a world where every other ghost story is a wannabe The Ring, it's nice feeling a fun just have fun with it's self and still be smart and cool as can be. All in all...a great show. Bring on the next one. What a great series of films.

This Franchise Is Out Of Gasssss......

It's clear that "The Eye" franchise has run out of steam, ideas, scares, visuals, you name it. It's over.

The film actually begins at a rather swift and surprising pace (with likable people), and it manages to maintain interest for about 25 minutes before slowly deflating in front of your very Eye. It's a ghost-chasing-teen-romp, unlike the first in the series, which was drenched in pathos, hospital sterility, and Mann's physical disability. In fact, this latest movie references the first Eye quite frequently, especially the haunted elevator scene and the bit with the young boy-ghost trying to find his report card in the apartment stairwell. But this film recreates these once-fraught scenes in a self-conscious giggling way. Unfortunately the effect was to make me want to watch the original outing one more time because it really is such a fine, grave, and startling film.

Alas, this third in the series is none of the above.

Oh, and it's not funny either.

I suppose the Pangs wanted to get away from the dread-filled atmosphere of the first two features, and so they rely on some ham-fisted joking and some outright slapstick between the scares. The real low moment came when the unavoidable fart joke appeared--farting as a means to ward off evil spirits. Hmmmm. I knew at that very moment the franchise had squeaked out its last gassssssp. Goodbye Eye.

    Quite a good horror movie...

I thought that The Eye 3 was quite a good horror movie Directed by the Pang brothers It starts in Thailand, Chongkwai is having a visit from his friends, Ted and his cousin May and Kofei and his girlfriend April from Hong Kong. While they are on a tour they see an accident on the road, so they go back to Chongkwai's home and tell ghost stories. Chongkwai shows them a book with ten ways on how to see spirits, then Kofei vanishes, April tries to find him, Ted and May go back to Hong Kong. But the spirits do not leave them and still follows them wherever they go. I did not think that this was as good as the first two Eye films.

Do Not Play with the Spirits!

In Thailand, Chongkwai is welcoming his friends Ted and his cousin May and Kofei and his girlfriend April from Hong Kong. While in a tourist tour, they see an accident on the road, and when they return to Chongkwai's home, they decide to tell ghost stories. Chongkwai shows them a mystic book with ten ways to see spirits and they decide to follow the procedures. When Kofei vanishes, April tries to fin him, while Ted and May runs back to Hong Kong. But the spirits do not leave them and insist to play with them. Ted and May return to Thailand trying to stop seeing ghosts.

"Gin Gwai 10" is a reasonable ghost story, with many funny moments and great special effects. However, this theme is losing the impact: the original "Gin Gwai" is a very scary movie; the sequel "Gin Gwai 2" is also scary, but with a deceptive conclusion. This last sequel is weaker, but is a good entertainment. I laughed a lot with the sequence of Ted in April's building: absolutely hilarious and probable the best moment of this film. My vote is six.

    Why?

The Eye was great movie and The Eye 2 was still a good movie but this movie was just planing silly not scary or creepy at all.

You will need to turn your brain of too watch this movie.

Number of teens go on trip and they tells each other Ghost stories until one of boys mention about the last two women in the last two movies (We see flashback The eye and the eye 2, that is the only part that is connect to other two movies).

That boys show them book which say 10 ways to see ghost, soon they play that came and some of the ways did sound interesting but what came up was absolutely ridiculous.

I found this too funny (I wanted to be scared not to be laughing at this movie) You avoid this movie if you can. I Going to give this 3 out of 10 the reason for that is I liked someone of the ways the books said you can see Ghost.
