I hated and dreaded this show when it came on Tvo kidz.
The kid was an annoying pest. Most of the time he was bothering the people with his antics and questions.
Why did they make this show?

My husband and I watch Tivo "This is Daniel Cook" daily and we don't even have kids at home to blame it on. We are both in our 40's and just find great joy and delight in watching Daniel explore the world. A great kid, and a sweet show.
One of my favorite episodes is when he rides along with a cop and the cop lets him give a warning to someone who was having a loud party and he said in a very gruff voice (for a 6-year old that is)"You better never make noise again!" Priceless. Love this kid.
We have watched him learn to write a poem, learn to make a pizza, learn to break-dance, learned to ride a pony, learn to milk a cow, and various other adventures. If they had a Daniel Cook channel, we might watch it all day. He makes us happy.

This is Daniel Cook, a Canadian children's show fallows Daniel and his amusing life, I personally had not heard about this show until an ad on the radio broad-casted it, My little brother needing a new kids show decided to watch it, wow! the boy is just used as an ad and a tool for politics I can recommend this for anyone who wants their child to see a young kid who is well behaved an active or people who wants to see how a young person can be used by media. Cook takes marital arts, dancing and many other fun things, his trademark orange shirt and messy red hair is his trademark. within the media, the mayor of Toronto is often seen in the show, that is where part of the politics come in. in closing, pure mind-rot for kids with no bad subjects and for adults a questionable ethics discussion.
okay... it seems as adults we know what we like... put yourself in a 2-6 year olds place! music, colors, dancing, attracts a child! as adults we cannot grasp some children's shows because we are above them and know more then a 2-6 year old! children are attracted to shows for their spunk, not educational value.... daniel cook is cute... hes 6! six year olds ask silly or irrelevant questions and are easily distracted and curious about everything... even if its not what you are talking about.. the question pops into their head so they ask you!!! emily yeung is the girls version to go with daniel.. the boys version (see his site). i couldn't stand half these shows until i looked at it from a child's perspective! i am not bashing anyone so please keep your negative comments (if for me) to yourself and act like a "grown-up". i am not here for that nonsense! just stating my opinion! :) either agree or disagree and say why...? thanks for reading!!
