Vijay Arora was signed for the film but kept Govinda waiting for 3 days. Vijay was busy with Ramayana TV serial. Govinda use to shoot for Tohfa Mohabbat Ka twice a month. Finally producer Maya Govind got tired of waiting for Vijay and got her husband screen writer Ram Govind to play the role.
