Keep waiting for the DVD Release

Saw this movie at the 1st Annual Dominican Republic Film Festival. By far it was the best movie shown. Everyone I spoke with loved it and I have waiting patiently for its release ever since and so far no luck... very sad! Great comedic plot, great acting. I would imagine the low ratings come from people who feel threatened at the way a catholic priest is abused in the film. I guess there isn't much humor in the bible either so one should expect as much.

It's been 6 years since I've seen it but there are only two main characters. These two dominate the entire film and it is the dichotomy of the two half-brothers and their chosen life paths, one a Catholic Priest who is unfulfilled and one an incarcerated criminal trying to scam his way out of prison, that brings forth the humor. The subject is ripe for satire and some ribbing of religious doctrines and institutions in general. To me it didn't disappoint.

All in all a very fun little movie.
