Stylish, well-performed Raven thriller

One of porn's top directors at the turn of this century, Michael Raven shows his skill and craftsmanship in this high-quality thriller starring Wicked contract lady Julia Ann.

She plays a lethal hit-lady, trained by her husband Randy Spears, a hitman who we see both in flashbacks and as a ghost egging her on to carry out deadly revenge on his posthumous behalf. This fantasy element is quite unusual, as such a ghost feature usually is played for comedy.

Raven is adventurous in mixing explicit violence with XXX porn content, a combination that is often cause for possible censorship. Contract stars Kaylani Lei and Jessica Drake have supporting roles while Ice La Fox is more directly involved in the main story line.

Making it fun to watch is the absence of good guys (or girls): every character is on the seamy side, including Julia. DVD features bonus scenes, including an alternate ending, but unfortunately in his voice-over commentary Raven fails to identify an uncredited starlet whose sex footage is only represented in the material relegated to Bonus.
