    Wow!

I agree that this film, A Fine State This Is, is amazing. It was sold out at the LA film festival, then won the Grand Jury prize at the Outfest film festival. I saw it both times. Why isn't this on DVD? Why aren't more people able to see it? The young director, Jessica Chandler, is so talented and this unique story is quite moving in so many ways. Also, the main character draws you in. What you think she is about at first changes as you get into the story. I don't want to give it away if people are able to get a hold of this film. The best thing is that this is a documentary and so it's all completely true and real. I was introduced to both the director and main character at the LA film festival. Also, the director is a very aware and energetic young woman, who did a wonderful job. I heard she spent two years with the main character, Debra Whitman. Someone told me to ask one of the major agencies in Hollywood who has the film. I may do that.

Why isn't this film available on video???

I'm not sure if the filmmaker or other people involved with this film will read this -- but: with the success that this film at the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, where it won Best Doc, why has no one picked this up for home video? This is a fantastic film, and I know there are so many this could touch and help....

Anyway -- I would just like more people to have an opportunity to see this.

At the screening we saw of this, both the director and Deborah Fargo (am I spelling this correctly?) were there and I found both of them very inspiring.

Does anyone have any info??? thanks, Matt
