I expected more from DON JUAN, an assembly line porn film from the unsung Italian master Luca Damiano. Late in his career he was strictly coasting.
Certainly the story of Don Giovanni is fertile material for a sex movie. But this tale of the cocksman's adventures is told without panache. An element of class is the use of Italian soundtrack with English subtitles for the U.S. video release, but it doesn't help much.
My favorite element was opening the film with a busty tanned statue of a woman in front of Don Juan's castle. At film's end the statue comes to life to make love to DJ.
Filmed in Hungary, the picture is typically well-mounted by Luca, with attractive costumes and settings, plus beautiful women. Title role actor is unimpressive, except for his massive package.
