In this world, all houses come with a dependent underclass of people living a cramped, marginal existence wedged in the attic. One Attic Man, tired of relying on fickle handouts from the people in the house below, decides to branch out on his own. Closer to the surface, ATTIC MAN works well on the level of a quirky comedy. Our Skeleton in the Closet

This is small film with a big message, told with heart and humor. All the whitebread suburbanites keep "their people" hidden away in their attics. The hidden people (representing the "Third World") are spoken about in the third person, without identity or dignity.

It looks like great care was taken in the cinematography and editing. Warm colors, natural looking lighting with crisp sound and dialogue, which are not often found in short films now-a-days.

It's a fun little romp that keeps you thinking long afterward.

Makes me want to change from whitebread to pan or nann or challah or pita....

Funny, clever, good direction and acting. Cool photography, too. A great little short film.

The script, direction, acting and visuals all work perfectly together. Its a clever, offbeat premise that's handled in a very dry and funny way. I saw it at a festival in Los Angeles. I laughed when I was watching it, but even more to its credit, the film stuck with me enough so that the next day, when I thought about it, I laughed at some of the funny bits again. There was even one thing that slipped by me when I was at the screening that had me grinning when it hit me later. Its nice to see a film with a solid underlying theme that's handled deftly enough so it doesn't feel like the director is trying to club you over the head with it. The performances are real, natural and believable - quite a good job by the actors and director, especially considering how they make the basic premise of the film (attic people coming with houses) seem completely normal. I guess you could say I really liked it a lot. I want to see it again.
