This should have been on a long time ago.

Before their was the Mirage, and Excalibur, the Palms, Hard Rock Cafe and Venetian in Las Vegas there was Caesars Palace. This was one of the most glamorous places to play and stay while you were in Vegas. This show is a cross between a reality show, a show about gambling, and a show about how hotels are run. When I first visited Vegas in 1992 I was very impressed by Caesars Palace, thinking it was very glamorous , attracting the high rollers crowd. I especially like the parts of this show that give a behind-the-scenes look at how much a huge complex hotel resort has to plan, different functions, like conventions, Weddings, and prepare the High Roller suites (each of these mega resorts in Vegas employ at least 2 thousand people). I wish this show had been on years before. But now with Poker shows being red-hot, the Caesars Palace Management decided they should cash in on Vegas excitement like CSI did. The thing is Vegas will always be exciting.

Show is NOTHING about "Introducing John B.."

This show's premise was about following 3 different plots in EACH EPISODE with different sets of real people in each plot, and remained in that format for the entire series production.. Meaning, it wasn't about anyone in particular, nor built to "launch" anyone, nor to highlight new performers, etc. It was about situations that happen at Caesar's - that's it. Apparently John B. is looking for some buzz. A User Comment here should comment on your response after watching enough episodes to have an opinion on it. That being said, this show was another reality show - that's it. It didn't re-invent anything. Not only that, it also didn't pay it's subject participants a nickel to be in it (unless you call getting a room for the remainder of the night compensation), AND, often (if not almost always) the story lines were "made up on the set" by it's producers and crew. Doesn't sound like much of a 'launch'.

    Introducing John Barragan. . .

An attempt at bringing an inside look at the goings-on of Caesar's Palace to the world, this hour-long television show has a slightly classier and less watered down feel than your average reality series. Although still containing enough melodrama to appeal to mass audiences, there is an effort here approaching the artistic as far as post-millennium shows are concerned.

The premiere episode of this A&E casino-based reality program featured a talented young man named John "Johnny B." Barragan, a hip-hop artist in the making. Johnny also reappeared a few episodes later in the series and his story of a struggling rapper trying to make it in "the business" through connections with Ghalib Ghallab, a jazz pianist at Caesar's whose son is a record producer, was left open-ended. I, for one, hope to see him again. Having seen a few of Mr. Barrigan's student films and read a children's story he has written, I can honestly say that this is a name to remember. This up-and-coming director/writer/musician is someone to look out for and not merely just another reality show 'throw-away' hack. So keep your eyes open. . .
