Back, bad, and Beyond the Grave.

Four years have past since the Millennium incident. Grave has defeated the Big Four, and Mika has moved on with her life.

..until SEED, the addictive and dangerous chemical used in the construction of Orcmen and Superiors rises up to rattle the underworld.

But Grave has risen along with it. Armed with a newer coffin and his same Cerberus handguns, the dance of death begins anew for the Deadman known only as Death: Beyond the Grave.

Overdose manages to successfully top the original Gungrave's charms and works its own into the frey. The graphics whilst not excellent are of a good enough quality to let you know what's what whilst not letting the screen get too cluttered as to cause annoying bouts of slowdown.

No longer is Grave slow and clunky, making the simplest of areas like a nightclub seem like an infinity of steps. Now he's faster, more agile, and this allows much bigger levels, and more carnage. His odd cowboy suit is long gone, replaced with a black and red suit that makes Grave seem a little more like El Mariachi from the Desperado trilogy Along for the ride are two new faces; Rocketbilly Redcadillac and Jyuji Kabane. (Pronounced Kah-ban-ei).

Rocketbilly Redcadillac is a charming, soft hearted ghost clad in red leather and with a shock of blonde hair. He uses his electric guitar to rock and roll his way through the enemies, and is the most fun out of the three characters.

In contrast to Billy, Jyuji Kabane is a tough, hard nosed Deadman like Grave (but with a twist I won't spoil for you). Wielding two gunblades (Two small handguns built into the hilt of his twin glowing swords), Jyuji carves the enemy up like a turkey, but he's for the more seasoned player as his mêlée over shooting makes for some tough times in a mainly shooting game.

The extras, as great as they are however, do let the game down. Frantic playing over and over to unlock certain extras in a certain way becomes very boring. Also, as great as most of the voice acting is, it leaves a little bit to be desired. The energy is missing from certain bosses, leaving the gamer with the feeling that the actor just read the words off the paper and left it at that. Steve Blum and Cam Clarke thankfully avoid this, and their voices will bring a smile to a true anime fan's heart.

All in all, a great game. Only available online, at less then £20 it's a great buy.
