Perumazhakkalam - A beautiful story well told!!

This is one of the best movies to come out in 2004. Director Kamal has proved it once again that he is one of the best when it comes to making an offbeat film within a commercial format.

The screenplay is flawless penned by TA Razak. The protagonists played by Meera Jasmine and Kavya Madhavan have excelled in author backed roles along with guest appearance of Dileep, Vineeth and Biju Menon. The camera of P.Sukumar, music by M.Jayachandran are the major highlights of the film. The only drawbacks are that some of rainy scenes are often repeated but with an excellent soundtrack it makes up for it.

I have to say that the film belongs to Meera Jasmine and its her powerhouse performance that keeps the viewer glued to the screenplay. Kamal has taken us back to the golden era of Malayalam films where it used to be all about the substance.

This one is sure memorable and it paints a complete picture of human emotions.

    A Beautiful Movie

Wouaw!!! awesome some from Kamal. Very touching. Kavya Madhavan and Meera Jasmine are excellent. Lot of emotions, and i love the song "Chendramizhi", well done picturisation. The RAIN has a big role in this movie, and we can feel it. Personally, when i see finished the movie, i had a few moments of Silence to feel all the emotions that this movie given to me. Hope we can excellent movie like that in the future. Sorry if there are some faults on my writing but i'm an Indian origin french girl. I adored this film. Times when we see a movie, there is a feeling inside us, and this movie made this effect on me. The actresses, Kavya Madhavan and Meera Jasmine are perfect. Silences, expressions of the face, glances, wow!!! And in any event, all the actors who supplement this film are extras, each one is exactly in its place. Just One thing at last: GREAT MOVIE, A Must See Movie.

Perumazhakkaalam - a must watch before death.

I had tried to see this movie for the past 5 years, but never had an opportunity. Once I had it, I just feel that i did a great injustice by prolonging it for this long. I'd have given a salute to everyone who worked for this movie. There was a time, when movies were made just for the sake of pure entertainment. This one is not just entertainment. Values rather than riches, fun, food drive the life. It made me realize how empty is the life of mankind without love, mercy, forgiveness.

A special mention in the film is for Meera Jasmin for portraying Razia flawlessly, Kavya Madhavan for her silent conflict in decision & a big thumbs up for Kamal (my favorite director) for redemption of both the main characters in the form of forgiveness. Loved this movie so much that even watched the Hindi remake. Its without doubt, the director and the writer are among the best who've made it into the cinema world.

A must watch for everyone. This one instills values in life which are lost somehow in the busy chase of life among the deserts, where seldom one gets the view of Oasis.

A very touching movie from Kamal and team.

A very touching movie with stories of "pravasi" families in Kerala. Kamal did a great job while Meera Jasmin, Kavya Madhavan, Maamukkoya, Biju Menon, Dileep etc showed their talent in their acting.

Recommended for all families. Keep a towel ready if you are too sensitive about sentimental movies. :)

I felt like this is one of the outstanding works from Kamal even though he had many other good movies.

The good points I can note about the movie are below.

    1. Great story... 2. Great location... 3. Great sound... 4. Nice songs...
