Karl Fink has masterfully orchestrated the film to evoke a sense of involvement with each of the characters, their situations and their outcomes. In doing so, he seems to have found the perfect formula and leaves the audience wanting more.
The chemistry between the performers was outstanding, in particular, the performance of Jane Sibbett. Her role as Casey Hill allowed her to showcase a myriad of her acting abilities that touched the audience - we cheered, we cried and we laughed with her.
"A One Time Thing" is a breath of fresh air in the current arena of films that seem to think that sex, violence and profanity are the standard.
I am certain that "A One Time Thing" will prove to be an indicator of GOOD things to come for those involved in the film and for those of us in the audience.
Karl Fink (The Director) uses subtle movements and side objects throughout that adds to the fun of the movie. He also leads the group of actors doing what they love best to do and that is giving to the audience.
This film has to be picked up by someone or they are going to miss out on the talents of Karl (the Director), Jane and the other actors in the film. If the response of the audience is anything what can be expected for this movies, it is going to be a fun show for many to go and see and become part of.
Thanks to the entire cast and crew for making a fun movie with a meaningful and touchable story line where there is no big car crashes, large bombs going off, or gratuitous sex that is not needed. All areas of the film melted together to form a wonderful independent film (Again, one that should be picked up by one of the carries) for all !!!!

Part of the fun is getting to see actors and actresses that you SWEAR you have seen before, but you just can't quiiiiiite remember where. Clearly there is a ton of relatively unrecognized talent out there, and Karl Fink seems to have found a bunch of it.
Do yourself a favor...order this today, wait for it to arrive, and sit back and enjoy yourself. We loved it!!!
I am not an Entertainment Industry professional, so I do not know the technical points that made this so enjoyable (though I am sure there are many). I just know what I like. All the cast fit. I thought the lead actress and actor, Jane Sibbett and David Newsom, were made for this movie. Their performances are to be applauded. The performance of Valerie Spencer, as the heroine's best friend, really added to the humor and humanity of this film. Go see this movie.
