    great little movie

Every once in a while, you stumble across a movie made with a lot of heart. This is one of those movies. Not perfect, by any means (in fact, you have to get through a pretty slow first 10 minutes), but a movie that will stay with you. And timely once again, as it deals with the inner dysfunction of a politician. I keep hoping this movie will get some sort of distribution so it can go beyond the little community screenings that happen ever so often. I could tell people about it, but there is no way of getting it. They have a website with a contact email. I've never emailed, but I assume you can get a copy if you email and ask. If you can get a copy, I would recommend it.

    A great Vermont film

I just had the pleasure of seeing this film last night, and it is fantastic. For such a low budget, and shot by a group of college kids, this film has an amazing look and excellent acting. The two leads, Henry David Clarke and Rusty De Wees, in particular, give the best performances in the picture, while the supporting cast holds their own. Kate Fellows, the young Maggie Reed, gives a stunning performance for such a young actress. The story flows seamlessly and the viewer truly feels for the young governor hopeful, Paul Reed. This film is, without a doubt, one of the best independent films that I have ever seen. Kudos to Matthew Temple, Patrick McMahill, and Mike Harrington for such a superb screenplay and such unbelievable directing and editing.
