This summary is longer than the plot

There are movies made no one can understand why. TV sometimes makes movies just to fill terms and repeat from time to time because they don't have to pay for them. "Leti leti" seems to be one of them, showing that TV movie production in Croatia is not completely dead. But only heaven and producers know how this movie appeared abroad, on foreign TV programs.

Though shorter than the average movie it still looks far too long for the script. If it was made just for TV there was no reason to make it longer than necessary (theatre movies usually last 85 or more minutes with or without enough stuff). It seems that TV needed an exactly 55 minutes movie to fit between two programs (e.g. two soccer matches on world championship). Also, when footage was made, it was pity and expensive to throw anything away. Maybe it was so cheap that it was less cost for some TV stations to buy it than to make their own equally boring programs. Or they just despise their audience.

I won't write a single sentence about the plot because it would contain the whole story, so if anyone voluntary decides to watch it (without being a hostage of a sadist maniac) I don't want to spoil him a pleasure of awaiting ten after ten minutes for something to happen. Make sure your alarm rings three times during the movie, and you'll know all you have about the plot. There are two topless scenes but they would barely be a reason for staying awake. They may be a (male) director's revenge to (female) writer because men in the movie are (according to modern standards) mostly worm-like characters. However, the women don't seem to be much higher on the evolution tree.

Though a little better than the rest of the movie, photography didn't impress me either. In some movies good camera work compensates for the lack of the plot, but the photography in "Leti Leti" was only following the movie line. And being dynamic and diverse like a road through Australian desert, it could kill the inspiration even if Nykvist (or Pinter) stood behind the camera.

When you wake up deep in the night and wonder what was the movie about, don't despair. You wouldn't know the answer even if you tortured your eyes all movie long.
