    Lewis Trondheim at his best!

I have watched this show some time ago and saw it as a wonder to the world of alien cartoons. This show is absolute proof that the French, not the Japanese, and certainly NOT the Americans, are the masters of animation. While this show is a proverbial rowboat compared to the steam-liners of other shows, it certainly tends to win the audience over with its marvelously whimsical tunes and all-too-noticeable jokes, along with its very supportive cast.

At first, I had it in my head that this show was trying to imitate "Invader Zim", when, after watching this show, I realized that this program is nothing like "Invader Zim"; it wouldn't need to lower itself to that standard.

As for the plot, it seems that Kaput, while the muscle behind the operations, is a shoot first-and ask questions later type fellow, who looks quite dumpy and has a brilliant red mohawk, and a nasty overbite. Zösky is the semi-brains for the pair and comes up with plans that oppose Kaput's ideals and who also features an odd appearance of a thin body, a set of long, yellow antennae and a pair of eyes reminiscent to Steven Seagal. Every time that Kaput and Zösky head to a planet, they have its capture in mind, without realizing that they are outdone horribly. Shortly after every occupation, they mess up their insidious schemes along with entire civilizations in hilarious and unpredictable ways. The two conquerors go around conquering the different planets and usually losing control of the planets in less than a day!

Simply put, this show has all the qualifications of a good show; fine plot, nicely drawn characters, high detail background, witty humor and fine music reminiscent of French elevator music, but lacking in an audience. If only people would have a single look at this cartoon, then perhaps the masses would rush straight to see this show.

Add a minuscule ship barely big enough to hold the two, overly formidable as well as beefy opponents in battle, along with a couple of projectile weapons known as crisperizers, and this mass of sheer, unadulterated, Lewis Trondheim genius is nothing short of great laud and appraisal!

    Worth a Look

Kaput & Zosky is a show about two would-be alien conquerors who go from planet to planet attempting to enslave the local populations. Kaput is more violent than Zosky, but they both still want to capture as many planets as possible. Certain episodes contain the creator's ideas about certain things, but I don't usually pay attention to those. It can be good at some times, and decent at other times, but given the time of night I usually watch it at about midnight on Nicktoons, it's pretty good by other program's contrast. There is a vast myriad of different planets Kaput and Zosky travel to, and each episode usually contains about four planetary visits. If you're up late at night and have digital cable, definitely give it a watch.

This is what I have to say about the show

Honestly, this is one of my favorite shows, which seemed to have gotten cancelled. The plot is pretty much the same in every episode, but it's just so funny to me how those guys fail at ruling a planet. If I were to suggest anything for the show, it would be to show these guys doing things other than trying to conquer random planets, such as falling in love or maybe getting a real job. I would also suggest some episodes that reveal the answers to the many questions I have about this show. As for the characters, well what can I say? They are opposites in many ways with unusual appearances and outfits. There's the short, fat one who usually does really stupid things and there's the tall, thin one who would actually think twice. They kind of remind me of Carly and Sam from Icarly and Maddie and London from The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. But then, that's just what I think.
