      A German staged version of Sumurun (produced by Max Reinhardt and the Deutsches Theater) toured the U.S. shortly after this film was made. It played 62 performances on Broadway in early-1912. Cast members Paul Conradi, Albert Karchow and Ernst Matray played the roles they play here, and the production's cast included Camilla Eibenschütz in the title role, Grete Bendorf, Fritz Feher, Hans Felix, Leopoldine Konstantin, Emil Lind, Luis Seel and Marie von Buelow.
