This is something of an outlier as a childrens series as it was pretty violent for 4 pm on a Sunday afternoon but somewhat realistic of how things would be between grievances amongst a bunch of Glasweigan schemie youth but I suppose that is what kept us kids entertained as we watched Stookie Doyle and chums try their best to keep out of the way of 'Big Harper' and PC Hendrie who were always looking to sort out the hero of the title.
Stookie and his friends meet a posh brother and sister team of birdwatchers on the River Clyde, his defending of them against Big Harper marks him out for retaliation but they have bigger things to worry about, such as a rare artifact they have fished out of the Clyde, who put it in there? Whoever did is now on Stookie and his friends cases, as if they didn't have enough on their plate as it is.
Probably on the same level as Gripper Stebson in his prime at Grange Hill, a very entertaining childrens show that was in six parts. Try and catch it on YouTube.
