A very insightful documentary

This film provides valuable insight into the struggle for independence and the story of the Mau Mau as few others aspire to. With time on her side the director take the opportunity to interview individuals present during the events and this provides a grim though at times humorous outlook to the time. The movie also highlights the British colonial policies of the time that are not only unique to Kenya the oppression and brutality that was synonymous with it. All this is presented objectively by a fair cross section of individuals interviewed. What might be of value and challenging to the director would be a follow-up to this documentary of the transition from colonial to independent indigenous government.
