    Primitive, But...

I saw this movie at The Palms, in Las Vegas, last summer. The cinematography is very primitive. Certain scenes are overexposed. Lots of soft focus problems. What I saw projected was DV converted to HD. Lots of artifacts were visible and this conversion may contribute to soft focus issues. I would have preferred to see The Indie Pendent in its native DV. Most of the dialogue is looped and not very well. Dramatic elements are a mixed bag. Rusty Meyer mugs so much his head should have a handle on it. The rest of the cast are game, but they do not have that much to work with. The scenes on the roof and the traffic jam were impressive however. AGDVX100A owners should not watch this film. For anyone else interested in the Vegas indie scene its worth a look.
