Laugh-out-loud hilarious work of absurdist camp about a husband and wife team of dance teachers in the early 1960's who will stop at nothing - and I mean nothing - to revive their flagging dance business and recreate their glory years. But, first they must overcome a tragic performance faux-pas years before, a sin that can only be expiated by performing for legendary First Lady Jaqueline Bouvier Kennedy. The bulk of the movie involves the mad cap misadventures that result in pursuing this obsession. Set in Cape Cod, this well-crafted farce includes some wonderful scenes of a nostalgically historic landscape believed to be lost, which are only surpassed by the terrific comedy performances that are both nuanced and uproarious.
