The funniest, smartest & cutest kid's show to come along in a LONG time!!!! A wonderful way to show science to the little ones that is totally entertaining and never complicated.
Quack is my favorite, with his "duck wisdom" sayings. He's funny, sometimes stubborn, but always his heart is in the right place. Chirp is smart and is the balance to Quack, but Chirp doesn't know it all yet and that leads to fun discoveries with Peep. Peep is the wide eyed-innocent, newly hatched chick and is sweet, but isn't sickening sweet--he sees things as they are when first seeing them:curious & without prejudice.
The animation is simple enough when it comes to Quack (a big blue EGG shaped duck) with a hat (HILARIOUS!) and I like that he and Peep do not have "hands" or wings--they have to find other ways to do things--like using their feet, bodies and heads.
We tape this show for my 4 year old and we, the adults, are the ones to watch it! You will like it too!

As many parents know, toddlers and preschoolers want to do things over and over and over again! That includes watching their favorite TV programs. As a result, I've seen most of the Peep episodes at least 3 times each with my daughter (2 1/2).
She loves this show and I do, too. I like the science aspect of it. That is unique to children's programming for this age, I think.
And as the other mother said in an earlier review, I OFTEN laugh out loud. Especially at "Quack". His sarcastic, self-centered personality is just so funny!!
A good show for kids of all ages. Highly recommended. :-)

We all love "Peep!" My daughter got a "Peep" DVD set for her 2nd birthday two weeks ago, and we have literally been watching it ever since then. She loves it, and my Husband and I find the show very entertaining. The show is educational, of course, but has enough humor in it that everyone can enjoy it...it succeeds at entertaining all ages, a rare thing, indeed!
The simple animation and bright colors of "Peep" appeal to young children while the plots convey simple scientific principles that will enrich their minds. The animated segments are supplemented by real-life sequences which employ the scientific facts imparted in the cartoon. These live sequences will give children and parents some great ideas for trying out their own scientific experiments.
In conclusion, I cannot recommend this program highly enough. As Quack might say, this is a fine specimen of television programming! Enjoy!

Although I myself am way over the age of 3, with no children of my own, I feel that Peep and the Big Wide World is classic children's educational television. The lessons are intelligently woven into light-hearted comedic situations featuring Peep, Quack, and Chirp. The characters themselves are absolutely adorable and get into all sorts of trouble exploring the world around them. Quack is the quirky smart-alec, Peep is the "middle bird", and Chirp is the energetic, sometimes a little wild bird. Children and adults in general will all enjoy this show and perhaps may find themselves in characters in the "big wide world".
Even as an 18-year old I absolutely adore this show. It's been one of the few things that stuck with me from my childhood. Whenever I just want to escape from the news or world events I simply watch this show. It's heart-warming, cute, and Quack is still absolutely hilarious. This show was a big part of my childhood and I still adore it to this day! Kids will love it.
