Marvelous Musical Mansion is probably the funniest movie I have ever seen in my life. Good times! you need to see it! it's awesome! Okay, it's not actually a good movie in that kind of way. It's just a lot of fun to make fun of. fun. So you should watch it. If you're in your teen or 20's or whatever. Or just really high. Cause for kids it's probably really dumb and not entertaining at all. And it's not really educating for kids. I dunno, it's just really funny. It's just so awesome in a ridiculous, why was this movie ever made, kind of way. Take it lightly and play along. And you'll just have to enjoy it! So rent it now!! Happy watching!

This movie will forever invoke memories for me as I used to watch it annually in elementary school in music class. It was always a magical time when we would watch this brilliant film because it meant that we got a break from watching John Jacobson which meant that we had to sing and perform cheesy dances against our will. My favorite part of the movie is definitely the comedic elements. Looking back, I burst into laughter thinking about the "My Aunt Came Back" song. I think another underrated part of the film is the diversity of the actors. The writers and casting directors were so determined to include not just white characters that they completely ignored the laws of genetics to include the Indian character Benji who is related to the white boy named Alex. My favorite character is most certainly the door knocker who can only be described as a perfect cross between my middle school orchestra teacher and fear itself. My one critique of this brilliant work of art is the irrational fear of coat hangers that I was given by the film. Another comment also complained about PTSD from this coat hanger. I now cannot go anywhere near coat hangers without experiencing immense fear. In the end, it was a wonderful movie and I absolutely recommend, though I would be careful showing it to young children.
Literally a cinematic masterpiece. I've never seen a movie with so much thrills, a better story than breaking bad, and better action than any action movie. The best thing I've ever seen, nothing to compare to.
I enjoyed this movie as a kid. Lots of that music thats annoying but you just have to listen to it. If you have kids around the age of 5 or so consider this as a rental, otherwise your kids will play it over and over and over and over..... However there is very good music, and there is a mystery or a "riddel" that must be solved. It's good for the kids. You should maybe get a few of your kids friends to watch it with him. If I was a little kid I'd give the movie a 10 but since I'm much older now I give it an 8 as a kids movie, a 1 as a adult movie. Don't rent this movie thinking it will be a good musical. There is a wide base of characters however the kids are a little corny. When I think back I seem to remember a big table of food in the movie that was so interesting, probably because they sung a song about it.
This is the most realistic movie ever! The characters seem genuine to the point where Benji (who appears to be Indian) believes that he has inherited a family trait from a bunch of White folks! The music boxes are filled with a magical appeal that will have kids and adults alike singing right along (but make sure to cover your ears during the "Flo Fortissimo" section -- she's a REALLY LOUD singer!). "Marvelous Musical Mansion" has helped me bond with my family, connect with my pets, solve difficult riddles, and even write my own melody (so all my friends can sing with me)! On a personal level, I really connected with Kelly: the wonder she felt at the mystery of a melody and the magic of music were so authentic that I found myself tapping my feet to a catchy beat and singing along when I heard a song. The elder characters, Uncle Rubato and Aunty Annabella, provided much-needed comic relief: their hairstyles, stylish clothing, and ability to float added immensely to the hilarity of already amusing situations. The boys, Alex and Benji, had a heartwarming brotherly relationship that is a rare gem in the movie industry these days. TRUE FACT: The birdwatchers, Madge and Maude, are actually the creators of Wee Sing! And their dancing is off the hook!
