    Speaking Their Minds

Charley Grapewin and Anna Rule are a pair of ex-vaudevillians living a pleasant retired life. But their daughter has walked out on her husband after a terrific fight, to come home to them, and her husband is on his way to explain his side of the quarrel. The folks think it's silly to fight, so they work up a scene to play to convince the youngsters that fighting is silly. But are they acting?

Christie certainly hit the sound era running here, with a fairly slick, if stagey short subject, that has Grapewin and Miss Rule singing and dancing. Grapewin had just returned to the movies; he made a couple of films in 1900, then back onto the stage.

    • Trivia
The audience must use its powers of imagination regarding the titular redhead, as the film is black and white, and the redhead is a woman from the husband's past who appears only by reference.
