with friends like these who needs friends

This like an old indy film. It must be pretty old. I've never heard of the guy who made it, but it was really interesting and hard to stop watching. There were parts that I didn't know if it was a joke or not. I just sat there mesmerized and couldn't take my eyes off of it. Some friends of mine and I have watched it like eight times trying to figure out if it was supposed to be funny at parts or if its supposed to be serious. It's a great film. Whoever did it should be making more movies. There are so many bad movies. This movie was great. All independent movies should watch this movie and take notice. It's this kind of gritty movie that captures peoples imagination and drives people to be creative and energetic. It was a creative piece that more people should know about.

    Good floor shot

Hey I remember watching this and during the sex scene the two main characters were standing up and they just showed a shot of their feet and lower legs pumping together kind of rhythmically and lazy - and it matched the characters! karma also had a punch card joke in this film and i got in an argument with the associate producer

i told him - hey you can't call this a film, it was shot on video! but then he explained it's a feature film or a feature, shot of digital video i guess that's OK now it just used to be that that didn't count OK good film overall tho the people in it rock! they rock because they care

Director's first feature-length work doesn't let you down.

This "low-budget" film -- the writer/director's first -- is such only in the monetary sense, as compared to hollywood spending. The story displays a strong narrative, driven by the characters, and twists enough to keep your interest, and yet doesn't try to be overly clever or shocking.

I am happy to see a first effort film that didn't take the "easy" route of a goofy comedy or something with shallow characters and traditional scenarios. This movie is about people -- two in particular, but also about the good and bad side in all of us, and the way we some times end up with friends and relationships we can't explain.

An excellent example of how to jump feet-first into filmmaking and land standing.

weird movie in a weird place

I saw this little movie in a weird little dungeon like place that my friend took me to. pretty cool little movie. it was great to see someone like traveling around with a movie they made. so not Hollywood. didn't know i'd find it on IMDb. but there it was. it was this little black and white suspenseful comedy thing. i think it could have been shorter, but was cool to see such a die hard little engine that could looking kind of movie. I would recommend picking it up on video or DVD, or whatever you can find it on. It gives you a whole new perspective on why people make movies and why the way they did it like in the 70s is just a better idea.

Cool Movie found on old VHS tape

This was a weird viewing experience. I was house sitting for a friend in San Francisco and I was scanning through his dvds to find something to watch and I'd seen just about everything. I came across this VHS tape in a red box with a strange cartoon on front. Two insane guys in a car. So, I popped it in, and this was a mind blower. Here comes this movie that just from the start seemed like it was zapped from the 70s into the future. It had very little bells and whistles. Pretty low production value, but talk about getting bang for your buck. I couldn't stop watching it.

It was goofy and fun, but dark and weird.

Maybe it was just the way I came across it. Like it was hidden in a dark tomb or something. I dusted it off and watched what was obviously a low or no budget indie flick, but way cool.

The performances are odd and strangely haunting. Like the actors are the weird ones and the characters weren't written as weird as they were actually played. Cool movie. Bizarre find.
