Interesting exploitation film.

Showcasing the talents of -- among others -- director of photography Jarret Gahan, "Lesbo-A-Go-Go" is a 1960s period piece which must be seen to be believed. It could be described as "Less Than Zero" without the 80s panache, and with a measurable degree of Australian wit... though it possesses an intriguing undercurrent of macabre cynicism.

All in all, solid viewing. I look forward to the future projects of the creative team behind Lesbo.

Trivia
The extras in the 'go-go' sequence actually payed an admission fee to appear in the film. However, they were rewarded on the night by seeing The Aampirellas perform live, viewing Doris Wishman films and eventually being included in the credits individually.

Alternate versions
The initial director's cut ran for an additional five to seven minutes, roughly cut it was somewhat gratuitous but essentially the same film, this cut was screened at MUFF (Melbourne Underground Film Festival) in July, 2003.
