Excellent Movie - Danny Gustafson shined!

The movie was very respectable, heart-warming at times, and downright hilarious at others. I saw Burn After Reading last weekend, and i thought this was better. Eat your heart out Coen Brothers! Danny Gustafson especially shined as Ben Franklin Kid. I'm very disappointed to see that he hasn't acted since. wherever he is right now, I hope he's doing well! He should consider talking to a Communications Director about improving his career! We love Danny!

    Electoral process meets humor

I thought okay, "this will be just another kids movie", where the story will be light and the acting so so. But in reality what I got was a movie that is driven by a well written script. The movie is charming a nd funny without restoring to a lot of staged side gags. You care about the characters because they are believable. Kent Horgan who plays Russ Thoreau is very good and pulls off a very convincing Ross Perot like character. Tom Roberts is also good as Lewis the Loser and he and Kent provide much of the laughter in the film. Class President is a film that explores the electoral process in a delightful and humorous manner. it is nice to see a movie that the whole family can enjoy.

    Horrible Movie

When someone forced my to turn on my TV this movie was already half way through. I thought it would be terrible, but to my utter dismay, I could not have underestimated it more. The plot is contrived and in some places non-existent, the audio lagged behind the video by at least half a second in some places and the camera angels were terrible. I only watched a half hour of this but what I got was a decent image of the characters. All of them were two-dimensional and so cliché they almost seemed original. The quality of acting went beyond doomed child star and made not only myself ill but quite possibly made Santa Clause himself vomit with rage. It is difficult to think of a rating system so I will try my best, 0.5 steaming piles of $*#^ out of 10.

a perfect film for kids (and the parents will enjoy it too)

I really enjoyed this movie. It's very funny and the kids are so natural. It's so rare to see a movie made almost entirely with children and none of them seem like little automatons. So often the movies I take my son to or rent at home that feature kids are rather contrived and painful to watch from an adult standpoint. I was concerned that this movie might be similar but I took a chance on it. And I watched it with a very tough critic and it rated a thumbs up from him. My 7 year old laughed so hard that he almost fell out of his chair- that's the best rating a kid can give! I think this should be viewed by every grade school kid before the '08 elections, it would really make the electoral process more clear to them. But it's a comedy, not a lecture. It seems to have been crafted by someone who has either worked with children or remembers what it was like to have been one.

    Just so bland!

I've actually seen this film many times over due to a habit of watching the same channel, and every time I watch it it's always just as bad. This is quite possibly the worst movie I've ever seen. The production value made me think it was from the 70's much less 2002! The audio is terrible, out of sync, and annoying. The acting is bland, terrible, and unimpressive, and not to mention not convincing AT ALL. The jokes are not funny and really not creative and leave you grunting at the screen wondering how any entity could think that's funny. The characters are two dimensional, and are over-acting 90's kids stereotypes, and the adults are no better. The plot line was unrealistic and went way too far with everything it did. Writing was stupid, acting terrible, leaving not an impressionable bad movie, but a VERY bland bad movie. Terrible production value and boring musical score, with the same two songs in the soundtrack played over and over again as if they had copyright trouble with any other song they may have chosen. That makes for a bland, boring movie, leaving no impression what so ever.

Do yourself a favour and pass this one up.
