Plumber

This is a computer generated animated short film that was nominated for a BAFTA award--sort of like the British Oscars. While it didn't ultimately win, it sure was a wonderful little film and it made me laugh.

At the beginning, you overhear a homeowner yelling because the plumber wants a huge amount of money for a simple repair. Next, you see an old man go to the bathroom and begin fixing it--at which time, every possible thing that could go wrong does--resulting in a long and funny series of violent and destructive episodes. It culminates with an excellent laugh and because it was so thoroughly enjoyable, I can heartily recommend it.

Cute and kinda cool. I really enjoyed this little short film, I saw it on an airplane flight to vancouver - not sure where anyone else can see it. But it really stuck in my head because the story is pretty plain like an old Mickey Mouse cartoon but the animation oft the old man was so well done, and I loved the music, it's very European and not at all what you would expect for a little cartoon like this... it kind of reminded me of Amelie. Certainly not my favorite film or anything, but it really did stick in my head, so i guess they did something right! Made my flight across the country a little nicer for a few minutes.
