    Yahan Wahan: A Mixed Bag

The Yahan Wahan presents itself as a lighthearted comedy, and in many respects, it delivers. The core storyline, while perhaps not groundbreaking, offers moments of genuine amusement and engaging plot developments. The film's strength lies in its ability to weave together a narrative that, at its heart, aims to entertain. However, the experience is significantly marred by certain creative choices that ultimately detract from the overall enjoyment.

One of the film's undeniable assets is the performance of Farooq Shaikh. A consummate actor, he brings a level of nuanced depth and natural charisma to his role. His ability to convey subtle emotions and deliver comedic timing with effortless grace is a testament to his talent. He elevates the material, transforming potentially mundane scenes into moments of genuine engagement. The female lead, surinder kaur, also delivers a commendable performance. She complements Shaikh's presence, exhibiting a "Yahan Wahan," released in 1984, is a mixed bag of a movie. It has some good parts, but also some parts that make it hard to enjoy.

Here's a breakdown: * The Good: * Farooq Shaikh is excellent. He's a very talented actor, and it shows in this movie. He plays his role very well, and he's easy to watch.

    * Surinder Kaur, the female lead, also does a good job. She's believable in her role, and she and Farooq Shaikh work well together.

    * Durga Khote, a very experienced actress, adds a nice touch to the film. She brings a sense of class to the movie.

    * The story it self has some funny moments, and the core story line is ok.

    * The Bad: * Aruna Irani and Jagdeep are very over-the-top. Their acting is too much, and it gets annoying. They take up a lot of screen time, and it feels like they're just trying too hard to be funny.

    * Their parts of the movie are very irritating, and it makes it hard to focus on the rest of the story. It detracts from the whole movie.

    * The overacting from those two actors, really takes away from the good acting that is present in the movie.

    * Overall: * "Yahan Wahan" has some good things going for it, especially the performances of Farooq Shaikh and Surinder Kaur. But, the overacting from Aruna Irani and Jagdeep really hurts the movie.

    * If you decide to watch it, you might want to be ready to skip through their parts.

    * The movie is watchable, but be prepared for some very overacted scenes.

In simple terms, it's a movie that could have been much better if it had less overacting.

    • Trivia
Moushumi Chatterjee was approached for the film. She readily agreed causing the media to report that she accepted a supporting role to actress Surinder Kaur because Moushumi was having an affair with Farooq Sheikh. She accepted the lesser role for a wrong reason. Moushmi stated this was wrong as she worked with the director in the movie "Rusvai" and only was helping him. He asked her to sign the film so he could sell it to distributors. She was having discussions but finally decided not to do the film. Evevntually Aruna Irani did the role.
