A theatrical release date of September 18, 2026 has been set, which tells you how excited the studios are to get this latest rendition up on the screen. Skybound and Anonymous Content are developing the property as a series with Francis Lawrence directing.

Created by Pacific Rim and Clash of the Titans screenwriter Travis Beacham, the Audible Original podcast is described as 30 Days of Night meets “The Last of Us.”

When a comet hits the earth, the sun is blocked out and humans become pitted against vampires. Two sisters find themselves on opposite sides of the war.

Lawrence and Beacham will executive produce alongside Cameron MacConomy, Rick Jacobs, Glenn Geller, Cliff Roberts, Bard Dorros, and Zack Hayden.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Lawrence said that he is still floored by Constantine's insane following. "It was one of those weird, strange, beautiful things to see that fan base grow," he explained. "Everywhere I go, people have Constantine DVDs. People still want to talk about it.I'm very happy about that, as opposed to people having hated it or forgotten it. That would be awful. The reverse has happened." Instead of a blonde, foul-mouthed British man in a brown trenchcoat, John Constantine was a suit-wearing American with dark hair played by everyone's favorite actor Keanu Reeves.

Two decades later and a sequel is in development at Warner Bros., with Reeves set to return. The film was announced in 2022 and it was music to fans' ears. Reeves has experienced a career resurgence over the past decade due to the John Wick franchise, so Constantine 2 felt inevitable - especially when you consider its passionate fanbase. And yet, it always felt so far away, too.

First announced back in 2021, official updates on Warner Bros. Games and Monolith Productions' (Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and its sequel Middle-earth: Shadow of War) open world Wonder Woman game have been few and far between, and we may now know why.
