Today is the first day I've ever watched it & it's already up there as an all time favorite. I was born in '96 & all of my favorite comedies seem to be Sandler & his friend's movies as well as that era. I haven't seen anything released in the last 5 years that was this funny. This is some original comedy & it's genius. Is it a bit cheesy? Of course, but the way it's done is incredibly funny. The script had me laughing out loud many times & I haven't done that for awhile so it was refreshing. This is some free speech, original, anti-woke, over the line hilarious stuff. This is the type of comedy my friends laugh at & used to always laugh at growing up & it's just not displayed like this anymore in modern movies. Hope this kind of comedy comes back! Deuce is the man!
This movie was very funny. Despite the fact that the story is a little simple, generic, and weak, the movie contains non-stop jokes that will make you laugh, whether you want to or not. The movie does contain some immature humor, like the occasional fart joke, however, they are still funny. The movie also has quite a bit of creative humor. Eddie Griffin is a very funny part of the movie in a hilarious performance. This is a simple movie meant for no other purpose than to make you laugh, a purpose which it does a very good job of fulfilling. Do not treat it like a drama. It is a comedy and therefore it does not have to make perfect sense as long as it is funny. This is definitely worth seeing if you want to laugh and enjoy crude and simple humor, such as in a good Adam Sandler movie(an old one, the new ones suck) or a good Farrely brothers movie.
I didn't really have any desire to see this movie, because of all the negative reviews that I had read. When I was told that I could pick an older movie for free because I was renting a new release, I looked around and Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo was sitting right there, so I grabbed it.(hey, Rob Schneider has always been cool with me) When I sat down to watch it I had low to no expectations, because I heard that the movie was pretty terrible, but to my pleasant surprise, it wasn't that bad. They got me to laugh out loud quite a few times within the first couple of minutes and it continued throughout, I found that the story was actually interesting (for this type of movie), and I enjoyed the characters. The female lead, Eva, is gorgeous and hot, while sweet and innocent at the same time. I thought she was Anna Farris from the picture on the back of the DVD, and was slightly disappointed to find out it wasn't her, but I really enjoyed Hanna Verboom, my new celebrity crush.
I can do without Eddie Griffin and all the filth, which is on display rather frequently in this movie, but for some reason, I almost didn't mind it here. I didn't find that it was the "How many times can we use the F word in 90 minutes"-athon like 40-Year Old Virgin and other films are. Although they do over use the whole "gigolo" verbiage. I mean, are we suppose to still be laughing about it after 2 whole movies filled to the brim with words like "man-whore", "he-bitch", etc. being spoken every other minute?
I honestly cannot understand why this movie is panned to the level that it is, with some people calling it the "worst movie ever made". It is actually pretty good for a cheap, crass, comedy. Be assured that you can do a lot worse, if you do decide to check this film out. It was much better than I thought it'd be, and from what I can remember, it was at least on par with the first movie.

After an accident with dolphins and elders on a beach, the clumsy fish tank cleaner and former gigolo Deuce Bigalow (RobSchneider) is invited by his pimp friend T.J. Hicks (Edie Griffin) to travel to Amsterdam where he is presently living. Once there, T.J. Hicks is wrongly taken as a whore-men serial killer. Bigalow joins the gigolo's association trying to find the true identity of the murderer and clean TJ Hicks. Meanwhile, he meets the gorgeous Eva (Hanna Verboom), and while dating her, he suspects that she may be the wanted killer.
"Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo" is politically incorrect, rude, gross but also hilarious and extremely funny. There are many jokes with the stereotype and clichés of the behavior of Americans, Dutchmen and Europeans in general. The wonderful Amsterdam is mostly shown in the prostitution area of the Red Light Zone District and some bars where the consumption of drugs are free. There are many jokes also with the behavior of tourists. This movie would be never nominated to an Oscar, but deserved the "Man-Whore Award". This movie is a great entertainment for non-conceited people that accept jokes with stereotypes and like this type of humor. Otherwise, do not spend your time. My vote is seven.

I will not even bother to tell this movie's story because it really doesn't matter. What does matter though is that this movie can be so damn funny if you're in the right mood, after 4-5 beer or so that is. It's shameful to admit but this movie is actually funnier than the first one because it's so over-the-top. And this dutch babe is hot too. One of the funniest moments have Schneider make a speech in front of all the man heeers just to be thrown out of the window promptly. Another funny sequence is when Schneider and his buddy attend a Coffee shop.
With lines like "Kaizer, get back to your work" or "why is it called Space cake?" this movie is totally hilarious in all its stupidity.
One of the worst movies of all time but also one of the funniest!
See it and laugh your balls off! :D

- TriviaHappy Madison Productions moved the film to Columbia Pictures to produce the sequel due to creative differences with Touchstone Pictures. The Walt Disney Company (Touchstone's parent company) wanted a PG-13 sequel while Adam Sandler and Rob Schneider wanted it to be R-rated like Gigolo à tout prix (1999).
- GoofsEva cannot touch doorknobs supposedly, but in the montage of Deuce going out on a date with her, she clearly opens the door and touches the doorknob.
- Quotes
T.J. Hicks: Did you know Holland invented chicken and waffles?
Deuce Bigalow: Really?
T.J. Hicks: Before that you could get chicken or waffles, but they were the first to put them together! Black people all over the world will be forever grateful to the Dutch for that.
Deuce Bigalow: You know the Dutch started the slave trade.
T.J. Hicks: THOSE MOTHER FUCKERS!
