Poopi was a mischievous little girl who liked to cause headaches. She made new friends and coerced them to join in her slapdash shenanigans. She spent her childhood making up words and walking on the furniture. She grew up and disappeared, but I wouldn't be surprised if she wound up doing hard time.

When I was a kid, i used to play a lot with my friends and my sister. And i always was Pippi. I know all books about her and all movies. Actually i used to have red hair and many years I did act like i had been her. She was my idol for many many years.
Pippi is not very known in another countries, but in Sweden and in Finland she's one of the most known characters.
In Finnish she's Peppi Pitkätossu. And every single kid knows her. We just love her, all the books, all the stories, all the movies, all the TV-shows and cartoons. She's number 1 in Sweden and also in Finland.
If you ever have a change to watch Pippi, do it! Otherwise you're going miss a lot!

Pippi is a legendary children character from Sweden. It is nice to flash back and feel some old nostalgia..
This was, without a doubt, my favorite movie when I was a little kid. I haven't been able to get a hold of the other three yet but my family and I used to watch these all the time and seeing it today makes me long for those days of my childhood. I still get the same feeling I did as a kid and I would recommend this film to any family!
The child actors in this are awesome, they really bring the characters to life. The story is great and I'm sure you'll like it too if you've enjoyed the books. I thought that it was shot pretty well too and that the dubbing was done well. I've enjoyed everything about this film for years and will for years to come!

I saw this on TV back in 1976 on KTLA's Movie for a Saturday/Sunday Afternoon. Inger Nilsson shines in the role of Pippi Longstocking with her impish smile and bright eyes full of mirth and joy. The english dub is terrible but the voices still fit the characters. The special effects are extremely outdated but as a child yet spoiled by today's computer effects I found them amazing. Plus Star Wars was still a year away didn't hurt. The adventures of Pippi and her friends were lots of fun to watch.

- TriviaThis German-made compilation film was intended to be the ultimate film version of the Swedish Fifi Brindacier (1969) TV series (as it includes most of the series' key moments), but due to its phenomenal success at the West German box-office, and news of an original theatrical feature film (Pippi Långstrump på de sju haven (1970)) about to go into production in Sweden, Beta Film (the German co-producers of the Swedish TV series/movies, and the makers of this compilation film) quickly went to work on a second theatrical compilation film (Här kommer Pippi Långstrump (1969)) a few months later to cash in on the rising Pippi-Mania.
- GoofsWhen Pippi and shipmate flings the cake toppings onto the captains eyes. Pippi flung a red one first and the shipmate flung a white one second. But in the next shot the white one hit the captains eye first and the red one hit second.
