I dunno why the director made this movie???

This film has an insipid script and a lackluster performance by the leading cast. it is a pretty decent performance by the lead pair of Tarun and Trisha. It is a real pity to see Tarun with his wonderful performance as a child artiste in Anjali has given a low par performance. The director has lost the story midway through and the only soothing thing in the movie is A.R.Rahman. He has rendered some amazing not his best though and has been a good factor in livening up the movie. The songs really strike a chord with the youngsters and are an instant hit. The song "Etho Etho ondru" is still haunting me. The locales picturised in the songs bring some relief to the viewers eyes. On the whole the film could have been shortened by 15 to 20 mins. On the whole a pretty decent movie if you just want to kill time....

      Only the songs were good

The characters in the movie were irritating as they were over exaggerated (eg heroine's mother) and displayed callous behaviour towards falling in love (both families) , showing 'modern' young women in a bad light.

Only the songs, actress Trisha and the main actor's performance salvaged this film.
