    Not one single laugh!

Two episodes premiered last night (Tuesday, 12/02/2003) and not one funny moment in either episode.

    I did not laugh once!

The humor is too forced. This show is "trying" too hard to be funny.

This Show Is Great For the Whole Family!!!

I think this show is great! Today, it's so hard to find a show that is really good for the whole family. But, this one is. I can tell that a lot goes into the storylines and the characters. I especially like the theme song, written by Heavy D.

This show is filmed right near my house and there are always tons of people that want to go see the tapings. I just have two suggestions: Tracy needs to not try so hard to be funny. He should just relax. I guess part of it is the direction and writing for him to "camp it up." But, he doesn't need to. He's naturally hysterical! And Secondly: the network needs to leave the show IN ONE TIME SLOT and advertise that time. When it moved to Saturdays, I didn't know for a few weeks. I don't watch NBC that often, so I didn't know where to find the show, until I accidentally had NBC on one day and saw an ad for Tracy. Lots of people love this show, but they need to know when it's on. And, NBC should give it more advertising in other places, like TV Guide and on buses, etc.

I hope the show lasts because it fills a void for a good family show.

    Laugh-out loud funny!

I've seen the first three episodes and I surprised myself laughing-out loud at least 5 or 6 times each time!

Tracy Morgan is funny! There's never been any doubt about that! He created some hilarious characters on SNL as "Astronaut Jones" and others. But would his brand of humor translate to prime-time family sitcom format? I say, surprisingly, YES!

The whole cast is fabulous, specially Tracy's younger son played by Bobb'e J. Thompson. Watch out for that kid! The only thing missing, is a real complicity between Tracy and his wife, played by Tamala Jones. I guess it's normal. You can't ask two actors who've never played together before to reach a level of intimacy a couple that's been together since high school would have. I'm sure it will build!

Check it out! One of the very few new sitcoms worth watching!

    Looks Promising

Former SNL member Tracy Morgan stars as Tracy Mitchell, an auto mechanic, in this sitcom focusing on his family and his job. The pilot just premiered, and in a year where new sitcoms have looked terrible, "The Tracy Morgan Show" looks promising.

Though Morgan is funny, the show's humor seems to come a lot from the supporting cast, in particular, the Mitchells' younger son, Jimmy, played by Bobb'e J. Thompson. The laughs also come from Tracy's interaction at work with his fellow mechanics (Heavy D and John Witherspoon).

Though some of the humor is forced, and the show does not seem to be the greatest, it has the potential to be new and creative, and one of the better sitcoms out there today in a time where the sitcom is starting to fade away.

"I don't know what the F**K you just said, Little Kid, but you're special, man. You reached out, and you touch a brother's heart.

Take the best of "The Cosby Show" and "Diff'rent Strokes," throw in a little of "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," head the cast with one of SNL's better recent alums and a great comedian, and you have the finest new family sitcom on television. With a fun cast that includes the beautiful Tamala Jones, and the often hilarious John Witherspoon, it's a wonder why the show isn't on more top 10 lists of the season. Along with "Scrubs," "The Tracy Morgan Show" is NBC's present and future, and it would be sad to see these two shows sidelined by weak ratings or boring reality shows.
