Captain Raju has had a painful childhood. His mother had to work very hard to sustain themselves. She gives birth to his step sister thanx to one predator. He grows up very bitter. But he takes care of both his mother and sister dutifully .

Jalaja is an educated sauve girl who is his neighbour When both of them fall in love , her family opposes citing status and education.

Dutifully ,she ends up marrying another fine young man . He leaves town sad and hurt .

When he returns and meets her again , a lot of wounds are torn open .

He decides to make her life impossible. When he returns back to the town as a rich man , he puts forth a lot of problems she bears all with grace along with her husband .

One day his step sister is found violated and dead. A lot of twists later its found that Jalaja's husband is the unwitting guilty party . He himself confesses that he gave in to his flood of emotions .

Jalaja shoots herself unable to bear this truth .

Unni Mary is wasted in a small role as Raju's girl friend.
