this series is about the only good t.v. series around. its got real actors with a real storyline. its fine for kids to watch and the slightly squeamish and uncomfortable who get all worked up about measly kissing will have to get over it and realize that they are teenagers and thats what teenagers do!!!! the plot is enjoyable and easy to follow even if you pick it up somewhere in the middle of it all. its slow paced so enabling you to keep up with the dating situations which threaten to get quite complex.
the camera work is quite nifty which makes you feel like you are there with them. when the characters talk directly to the camera with the corrugated iron background is engaging and gets you on a personal level with them.
all in all its a great series which shouldn't be missed and if you do i can tell you now you're missing out big time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was such a great show. It actually feels like it was brought back into an adult version with the Show Doctor Doctor! Seriously so similar. Set in rural australia, in a clinic and had several of the same actors in it like Genevieve Hegney and Tina Bursill!
Out There was so great, touching on real teenage topics for discussion. We need more shows like this.

I recently started getting this new channel called The-N and they show this show. I started watching it, half because I'm obsesed with Australian accents and half because there's a soft spot in my heart for teen shows. But I like the show and now I watch it every day. The characters and stories are fairly realistic to teen life, and they're very likable. Of course, the acting isn't exactly Oscar, Emmy, or Golden Globe worthy, but it just a teen show, and it doesn't exactly have to be. Someone posted on here that it's a bad show for kids to be watching because it(along with Boy Meets World & Even Stevens) causes/promotes teen pregnancy & divorce. How is that? I watch Even Stevens, too...it's an excellent show and not at all a disgrace to Walt Disney(like this person said in their post). People barely even kiss on Even Stevens. Ren has her typical teen girl crushes on the cute boys in school and Louis has a crush on Tawny. Much like in Out There, when Reilly has a cruch on Fiona and Miller has a crush on Aggie I Boy Meets World, Tapanga & Cory were in love their entire life and got married...and they never got pregnant, and it appeared that they never had sex until their wedding night. As for Reilly calling girls chicks....show a teenage boy who has NEVER called a girl a chick...AT LEAST ONCE...and I'll like, be your slave for life. It's what boys do...it's no surprise. Anyway, this is a good teen show, and see in no way how it causes teen pregnancy or divorce. It's a very cute show. I'm just said it's ending already!:( lol Great show! You should check it out if you can!
This show is very interesting. I love all the characters and you get too see such beautiful scenery. The actors are extremeley talented and completly believable in the roles that they portray. I enjoyed the series immensley and cannot wait too see what will happen on the next series of the show. This is not the best show that the television station noggin has ever picked up. I personally enjoyed both Being Eve and 24seven a little more. I will say for the show that it is better than Degrassi: the next generation. I think this show is way over played and takes away from shows like OUT THERE.
I loved it. The acting is wonderful. Reily (Doug Smith) is great, he portrays a very convincing "Thrown into the middle of nowhere city kid". Though Mr. Smith is a talented actor, I have to say that Richard Wilson is my favourite. His charector reminds me of one of my good friends (that might have something to do with the attatchment). Very talented. Very Hot as well! :). Jade Ewan is beautiful! Even in a interview, Doug Smith admits that he just a wee bit of a crush on her. She has a promising future ahead of her. I give it a 8 out of 10.
