If Pert Kelton Doesn't Know How To Play The Trombone, She Fakes It Pretty Well

John T. Murray and. Hank Mann ship their wives off to the country for a vacation. Then they invite freshly-fired cleaning ladies Pert Kelton and Ann Roth up to the penthouse.

Producer Jack White was trying to move into talking pictures with his series of comedy shorts for Educational Pictures. None of the independent producers would survive the 1930s, but they didn't know that the storms of industry changes would sweep them away. So we get a couple of silent regulars for the men, Vivien Oakland as one of the wives, and a couple of young cuties. Miss Kelton seems ready for aught here, playing the trombone and getting into a wrestling match wit Mann. It sags a bit around the 113-minute mark, but picks up again for the end.
