Shut Up and Kiss Me!

I bought this movie on DVD. I really enjoyed it. I think the leads were great as well as the supporting cast. I love the scenes in the diner because it really shows how guys behave. They are interested in women but also dessert. The two friends from work are awesome and great comic relief. They both cried like true friends during the conclusion of the movie and it was touching. I expect to see great things from them in the future. I grew up in Miami and enjoyed seeing some places where I lived, worked and socialized. It was a nice testament to the fact that it is hard to find love in Miami but nice people but will find each other.

Very few movies are a romantic comedy as well as an action-packed buddy movie. It was shot in and around South Florida and shows us some of the prettiest scenery of any movie I have seen in a while. The gags come one right after the other. But it's the minor characters that steal the show here! Pay close attention to the "Smiley" character (he rarely smiles). This is the writer's first movie and a low-budget independent film at that, but you wouldn't know it from the screen. Between the writing, the directing and the cast of characters (Frank Bonner is in this!!) this movie will have you laughing from start to finish. This really is the sleeper movie of the year!

I'd rather watch paint dry than this movie. It is a comedy that never should have been made...for the simple reason that it isn't even remotely funny. The dialog is amateur. The characters dull, uninteresting, and the type of people you wouldn't want to spend ten seconds with. I can only suspect that the previously positive posted review of this film was posted by the film's producer or director!!! No one with any degree of intelligence would find anything to be amused by in this train wreck of a film. Save yourself the rental fee, and the experience of a 100 minute comedy without a laugh or even a gentle smile in it. Everyone involved with this embarrassment should be prevented from making other films. I purchased the movie used from a local rental shop, and it obviously won't be missed from their rental rack. The movie's stars (Christopher Barnes, Brad Rowe, Kristin Richardson and Burt Young) all look embarrassed and bored.

First off I guess this is a comedy. Which is odd because it is not funny at all. The writing is unoriginal and boring. The Chars are nothing new and their AWFULLL ,AWFULL acting made me sick. I can't believe people gave it a 10, Must be family of the makers of this train wreck of a movie. Anyone who enjoyed this knows nothing about film. This is just another crap movie in a pile of crap that is this genre of movies. There is nothing romantic or funny here at all The fake mob chars are enough to make you sick.

Shut up and Kiss has to be the worst title I have ever heard next to Snakes on a Plane. I wish could have my time back from this mess, There is nothing clever, witty, funny, or good in this waste of space. ECK!

The movie is pretty bad, but it does feature the highly talented and enigmatic star Cynthia Morani. Just the chance to see her for a few minutes on screen makes purchasing this movie a must do.

The depth and intensity she brought to the part of Chad's mom rivals some of Meryl' Streep's best work. Unfortunately, she's unable to save an otherwise bland romantic comedy.

The script needed a lot more work and some of the framing of the shots was amateurish.

Realistically, though the only thing that could have saved this movie would have been I'd the director could have somehow convinced Ms. Morani to have taken on one of the lead roles...I guess their budget wouldn't permit it.
