A Car Show For The Racing & Wild Mod Set

I have no idea if this is Jesse's original car show or not. I think of him at tatted up probably wild car guy who was once Sandra Bullock's husband. In other words I'm not a fan boy. I've caught a few of these shows and because I like cars and rebuilds I will watch this show. It's not the best one for me as I like shows like the more recent CAR SOS where the cars are not "wild" looking when rebuilt, but true to the originals yet often with upgraded mechanics. These cars aren't particularly useful for driving around and Jesse isn't the most charismatic host. So far, I've seen other guys do more of the mods so I guess it's his garage and name that gives this show cache. A good enough show to watch. I do learn some things and see some interesting techniques and parts. I'm just not a big fan of making stuff that's expensive and not particularly useful or true to the car being rebuilt.

    The Monster that Jesse Built!

I stumbled across this show about a week or so ago. I am really interested in watching shows where people use their minds and hands to create really cool things. I like all sorts of shows like this because I am a creative person and watching other people create, motivates me. I was someone who used to watch "American Choppers" because it was so cool to see Paulie make these "masterpiece" fabricated bikes. Then I saw "Monster Garage" on a day where they were running a marathon. This show rocks and Jesse James brings an explosive edge to it. He just has a cool presence. You watch to see what he will do or say, like you watched Paul Sr. on "American Choppers".

I personally like "Monster Garage" better than "American Choppers" because it brings creativity to a higher level. You can also see different workers each time. This is a very cool show with allot of creative minds coming together and making one vehicle into another creation.

If you have a chance, check out this show that is broadcasted on the Discovery Channel.

    Enjoy!

It was a great, innovative show! Monster Garage....can't believe it ended!!

O Monster Garage, where art thou? Monster Garage is a TV show that spanned from 2002 to 2005 (I may be wrong, but I know it started in 2002). The first episode involved a machine built out of an early 90s Ford Mustang GT (V6 I think) that could cut grass at 120 miles per hour. On a quarter mile, this thing would mow at just about 99 mph. Want to mow the yard fast so you can relax with your friends? This monster is for you. The monsters built in this show were incredible; a wide selection of plots going from a 1980s Pontiac Firebird transformed into a Santa float, to a Ford 20-passenger school bus turned into a luxury party pontoon boat! Crazy Monsters were to come, like an RV skate ramp and an RV Funhouse. The teamwork and concentration contributed into the monsters, and learning how to fabricate as you watched is what made the show, along with the humorous thing that Jesse and the Monster Garage crews throw in there as they build; and the fact that each monster is wacky and creative. People say Jesse was sick of the show and that's why it ended, even though repeatedly he says that It's his job and he loves to do it. I hope Monster Garage comes back to Television, and I can't believe it ended!

    • Trivia
Host/star 'Jesse James' AKA Jesse Gregory James who claims to be a direct linear descendant of the famed outlaw has been proven several times to be a liar about this claim all the way back to the late 1990's. The Jessie James Family Website labels him as a "Fraud". Landspeed Productions labels him, "a brazen Liar".
    • Goofs
Strictly, a "factoid" is a piece of believable, but untrue information, not a "small fact" (although, given that the Monster Garage Factoid above is untrue, it would seem that on this occasion, at least, it was used correctly).
    • Quotes

Narrator: Speaking for gearheads and garage mechanics everywhere, Jesse answers that one-word question: why?

Jesse James: [innocently] 'Cause it's wrong.
