At the turn of this century a group of New Jersey youngsters set out to prove once again Andy Warhol's maxim that anyone can make a movie. The pop artist became (quantitatively at least) the most influential man in modern cinema, giving rise to legions of tens of thousands of pornographers and "independent" film and video practitioners following in his improvised wake. The Factory 2000 group behind SILK STOCKING STRANGLER proved to be prolific, but with meager results.
This porn exercise is built on the hoary premise that certain perverts get extreme thrills by being nearly strangled during the act of sex. And of course the sadistic stranglers get off as well. Under the non-direction of the ultra-hack known as William Hellfire, resulting video plays more like a run-through than a finished product. NJ distrib After Hours/Seduction Cinema released it in their usual no-quality-control manner and I suspect it made a decent profit given the zero budget for such a One Day Wonder.
Casting is against type as evidently Misty Mundae and Katie Jordon flipped a coin to divvy up the two lesbian leading roles. As the leading object of pederast interest of her generation, Mundae is usually taking abuse rather than dishing it out, but here she's cast as the sadist Olivia. She gets things started by strapping on a dildo and having her submissive Jackie (Jordon) suck it ad nauseum, before a little doggy style humping is in order. Hardcore sex is in several of Hellfire/Mundae's exercises from this period, notably VAMPIRE STRANGLER, but this one is strictly softcore.
Topping off the indigestible package is the token male wimp, with immensely untalented Joey Smack, often a feather-bedded crew member on these shoots, creating a blank space where an actor might have tread. He looks on simpering as the girls make love, and unconvincingly joins in the action as a murderous sadist on cue. It's completely phony and tedious filler passing off as a "daring" video.
I can see the classic '50s exploitation campaign now: See Misty choke Katie! See Katie hanging from a noose! See Katie give a blow job to a dildo! Bor-r-r-ing.
Mundae returned as Olivia in an only slightly better entry titled FLESH FOR OLIVIA, which benefited from a more varied cast than this claustrophobic exercise.
In the "where are they now?" department, good old Misty (and she is now way too old to pursue her underage sexpot career) has landed a co-starring role on the all-time TV hit CSI; Smack & Hellfire are still cranking out mainly short horror videos in New Jersey for what's left of their once curious anti-quality audience, and poor Katie has been reduced to acting in one of those dumb XXX parody videos. Her After Hours Cinema swan song, a hardcore lesbian horror exercise, lives on only as an intriguing coming attraction notable for evocative masks, but the video has never been released by the distributor.
