The movie had been start shown in our country about 6 weeks ago by one of the wonderful TV channel'ONE Africa TELEVISION and I find it very interesting and every Wednesday and Thursaday I make sure Iam there to watch it. My sisters and brothers are also crazy about it.I like Yna-Kristine Hermosa most she is great. I wish she can come and visit us at Namibia.I also like Angelo he did not allow his mother to manipulate him to by stoping him to love Yna.he also decide that he is going to love Yna even though she is poor and a maid. I think Angelo is a great guy who know what does it mean to live somebody without considering her back ground and how poor or rich she is. Good lucky to all the actors in the drama.
Pangakosayo is currently being screened on one of the local TV channels in Uganda. It has taken up so many people in away that you move on the streets & feel it when 7 out 10 people are discussing it.Instead of Pangakosayo/the promise as it is known, many call it Yna.Very often you hear one saying,"i don't want to miss Yna today" & you'll know that it's Pangakosayo he/meant.Personally i enjoy every minute of it &when I see Cris Daluz (Isko Macaspac) acting,i don't blink.I just love the old man.Currently w're on the episode where Amor (Eula Valdez) doesn't know who of Yna(Kristine Hermosa)&Maria Amor is her real daughter. My whole family loves it.
One of the most endearing and very touching movie. I really enjoyed the cast as well as the storyline. Great acting by all and once more Filipino movies always has a certain touch where it hits you right at the heart!!!!!!
I am impressed on how they are able to profile all the many ways of how people view other people whether it be by status, gender or race. It was done in a way that I looked forward to coming home and watching the next episode.Keep up the good work on making Filipino movies very enjoyable and adding a cast of good actors and actresses.
Ina and Jericho really have a nice chemistry with each other and it's so touching to see them when they are embraced with one another with their tears. The older generation actors and actresses I applaud them for being so very professional as they make it seem like it is so real.I hope that there will be a continuation of this series.

She acted very well along side Angelo. The play was so good in a way that it was ranked number one in Tanzania.
Up to today, people talk about Yna and Angelo. They should visit Tanzania to confirm that...
I was so happy to see finally Yna and Angelo re united after the long journey of family misunderstanding.
There was a time I thought that Madam Claudia was the real mother of Yna and the only problem was that she did not recognize her.
I never thought that even Phillipines people can despise poor people like in most areas in Africa. For example Claudia never liked Yna just because she was coming from poor background.
Thank GOD that she got what she worked for after long sufferings...

since i joined ma guardians in Nairobi from upcountry, i found that the the national television(KBC) was airing pangako sa yo' as "the promise" having watched it, i was impressed by the casting and more so, i had gone through exactly what Yna and Angelo had gone. what a coincidence i could not imagine. the cast was excellent. my suggestion is, maybe you could arrange with our 4 local TV stations to market you films and air episodes of the preferred movies as well as soap operas. in this i will greatly appreciate your concern over my wish. i would even rather plead with my guardians to buy a telly instead of visiting our neighbour every evening to catch up with the cast.

- TriviaThe role of Claudia Buenavista was initially offered to Snooky Serna, but due to scheduling conflicts, she was forced to turn it down-a decision she would later come to deeply regret. The role ultimately went to Jean Garcia, whose compelling performance not only redefined the character but also catapulted her career to greater heights.
