I'm not much of a watcher of short films, but I happened to catch this one on an IFC Short Film Festival and I thought it was just wonderful! It's about a young girl who wears clothes to school that her mom makes for her, gets picked on for it, and responds in a most unexpected way (to tell more than that would give away the whole thing). Skye McCole-Bartusiak is a doll in the leading role. Kellie Waymire (the late Kellie Waymire, apparently) is a shrewd and caring mom, and Enrico Colantoni as the clueless dad is hilarious. A fun and funny film for all ages. I was so sorry when it ended so quickly. Highly recommended. 4****out of 4 stars
I must say that this is one of my favorite shorts of all time. I luckily came across it when I was at an LA Film Festival. I'm a huge film festival buff. All the actors and actresses were amazing in their parts. The emotional depth of characters portrayed was immense. Mindblowing acting acting by Skye McCole Bartusiak and the rest.
Skye McCole Bartusiak is an amazing actress for her age. She is really talented. This film is pure proof. She can deliver a take-no-prisoners, scorching performance as Sarah, the little girl. She is just truly Oscar material. She is the future of Hollywood. Go watch this short if you want to see a GOOD fim, other than that crap little kids films.
All in all, if this movie doesn't win 8 Oscars, there's no justice in this world.

This is a hilarious, charming little short that I had the pleasure of seeing at the SCAD Film Festival today. The acting is wonderful and the style very impressive. See it if you can. The writer/director/producer was on hand afterward to answer questions and I can tell he is a true maestro of celluloid!

Really loved this short film. I saw it at the LA Film Fest and it was a stand out among many, many excellent short films. The story is like a quirkier, miniature version of the sort of story told on the classic TV show "Children's Film Festival." The acting is excellent from every actor, especially the three leads, Skye McCole Bartusiak as the little girl (fantastic facial expression in one shot that brought the house down), Enrico Colantoni and Kellie Waymire as the parents. The photography by Paul Szopa is right on the money to tell this charming story.
